DreamHack Cluj-Napoca kicked off today with a whole host of games, we’ll break down the key storylines, results and how we’re doing on our predictions.

Let’s start off with our predictions, we predicted to win; fnatic, Luminosity, TSM, mousesports, Virtus.pro, Titan, EnVyUs, and Na`Vi. If you cast your eyes a little further down the page you can see the results, we predicted 7/8 games with Gamers2 vs mousesports the only game we predicted incorrectly.

Vexed Play Well Against Fnatic

Despite Vexed being thought of as one of the worst teams at the tournament they played very well against fnatic. At one point the Polish team was up 10-4.

Hey Bro, I Heard You Like Cobblestone

The first day of DreamHack Cluj-Napoca saw four different maps played, dust2, cache, inferno and cobblestone. The day started out with cobblestone and ended with four games of cobblestone. Five out of the eight games were played on cobblestone, hopefully we see a little more diversity in the next stage of the groups!

Liquid Take Virtus.pro To Overtime

Coming in to this Major we’ve said that Liquid have been playing really good CS, and today they took Virtus.pro to overtime. This could bode well for the North American side who will need to beat NiP and Titan to progress out of the groups.
