Quick Interview With Rewind eSports Owner KonflxcT

Comment

Thanks for doing an interview with us, first can you tell our readers a little bit about Rewind eSports?

Rewind eSports is a multi-platform esports organisation, we also have a large interest in content creation and live streaming and we encourage all of our members to create content that they enjoy. We are a fairly new organisation, having been in existence for only 6 months, but in this time we have built a framework from which we believe we can be successful going forward. Our management team have prior experience in managing esports teams and have learnt from their previous mistakes with other organisations to make Rewind as professional as possible at this early stage.

What games do you have teams in and which ones would you like to expand in to?

We currently have two teams in Call of Duty and a Counter Strike:GO team. As for games we would like to expand into, PC games such as DotA and League of Legends are games that potentially interest us, but we are determined to not spread ourselves too thinly at this point. With regards to console games, Halo and Gears of War are games that we have spoken about before and Fifa is also a game we could enter at some point in the near future.

What leagues do you play in and where are you placed?

At the moment the only league we are currently competing in is Above League’s Call of Duty league. We are currently 1-1 after the first 2 weeks of matches having been defeated 4-3 by Anixia Esports in game week 1 and then defeating Riot Gaming 4-0 in the second game week.

What’s your greatest achievement as an organisation?

Without a doubt it has to be placing 3rd at Am2Pro 4 earlier this month. Even though the event was somewhat dead, with only 14 teams participating, the amount of exposure we received because of the event and our team’s performance has been huge for us and we are hoping to push on from it.

Would you rather never laugh again or never use your smartphone again?

I’d rather never use a smartphone again because I spend most of my day laughing with friends and colleagues, I couldn’t imagine being unable to laugh.

What is your favourite website (that isn’t your own)?

It has to be YouTube, it’s a boring choice but I spend most of my free time procrastinating on it. The only other website I could think comes close is Twitter.

How old were you when you started playing competitive games?

I started playing Gamebattles matches with school friends during MW3, which would have made me 15. A year later during Black Ops 2 is when I started playing with a set team and getting fully involved with esports.

Do you have a organisation song (if not, what would it be)?

We don’t have a song, and I don’t really know what it would be. I am open to suggestions if any of your readers would like to make some.

What’s your best joke?

What do you call a deer with no eyes? A no-eye-deer. (I know, it’s tragic)

Who is the best player in your organisation?

Call of Duty wise, it is probably TommyR (sorry Cal). As for CS:GO, I’ll say Smacker, mainly because I don’t want to hurt his ego.

Would you rather have no thumbs and only be able to play consoles, or have only thumbs and play PC?

Some may say I already have no thumbs… but I would rather have only thumbs and play PC, with re-mappable controls you can adjust to certain games more easily than on console.

What is your favourite sports team (not esports)?

Liverpool FC

Where can people find you on social media?

My personal Twitter account is @Rewind_KonflxcT. You can also find the Rewind eSports account, which is @RewindOrg.

Do you want to give any shoutouts?

Yeah, Rewind’s general manager @ThymeToRise, everybody else in Rewind and our Sponsors; @Nitrado, @TGW_Gaming, @GamersGearEU and @WilderArtistry.
