More Than 35 UK Companies Set to do Business at GDC San Francisco

UK games industry trade body Ukie have taken more than thirty five UK companies to this year’s GDC San Francisco to showcase the best of British games talent at the show. The exhibiting businesses will demo their games and products on the official UK industry stand, giving them discounted and easy exhibitor space and marketing support at the expo.

The UK industry stand highlights include:

Ukie is UKTI’s official accredited trade body for GDC and other trade events such as GameConnection Paris, and gamescom in Cologne. Despite reduced government funding this year, Ukie has saved games businesses who are attending GDC SF this year over £25,000 by securing grants from UKTI.

Ukie CEO, Dr Jo Twist said “GDC is such an important event in developers’ calendars and we’re delighted have 35 UK companies doing business and showcasing their amazing work on the official UK stand.”

“Shows like GDC help give the UK industry a crucial platform to help attract investment, promote the industry and generate business for UK companies. With the introduction of the tax breaks last year, there has never been a better time to make games in the UK and we are proud to be flying the flag with some Great British talent.”

The UK stand can be found in Moscone Centre South Hall number #1916 on the expo floor. A full list of businesses on the UK stand can be found below:
