FACEIT, the leading platform for competitive online gaming, has partnered with DreamHack, the world’s largest digital festival, to host this year’s FACEIT CS:GO League Season Finale at DreamHack Open Winter, which takes place on November 26-29 in Jönköping, Sweden. Top teams from around the globe will compete for their chance to be crowned champion of this year’s FACEIT CS:GO league and DreamHack Open circuit to claim a piece of the grand prize of $250,000 USD.
“Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the most played games on FACEIT and this tournament is a ‘thank you’ to the players and fans who use our platform to take part in its intense competitions, leagues and tournaments online,” said Alessandro ‘stermy’ Avallone, Chief Gaming Officer of FACEIT Ltd. “The players’ skills and dedication to the game are what make the thriving CS:GO community what it is today.”
The tournament will include the top eight teams from the online stage of the 2015 FACEIT League Season Finale, hailing from Europe, North America and Oceania, pitting the best of the best against each other on the largest CS:GO stage ever built at DreamHack Winter. DreamHack is allocating more space than ever for CS:GO, and every single match will be played on stage.
“We’re working hard to make this the greatest DreamHack Open Winter yet,” said Tomas Lyckedal, business developer at DreamHack AB. “With talented teams and esteemed sponsors, DreamHack Open Winter 2015 is a key eSports event that will help push the competitive gaming scene to the next level.”
