Insomnia 49 – LAN Preview i49


It’s that time again, the largest LAN in the UK, Insomnia 49, is back.

The summer event is due to be the biggest this year. It runs from 23rd August to 26th August with Early Entry on the Thursday 22nd August.

Taking place at the Telford International centre the Insomnia Gaming Festival will have two main areas, the Gaming Halls and the Exhibition Halls along with many other areas to check out including the bar, tuck shop and clan boxes.

The Gaming Halls is the BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) section where all the attendees set their computers up for a weekend of gaming and fun playing any game with their friends and team mates.

The Exhibition Halls include some of the UKs biggest online retailers for gaming equipment and computing including such names as Logitech, SCAN, ESET and GAME amongst many others.

Insomnia, held tri-annually, accommodates over 3,000 gamers for up to five days making it the largest LAN in the UK which holds world class tournaments over the course of the weekend. These games include CoD, SC2, LoL and Counter Strike along with many fun tournaments for games such as Minecraft.

At i49 there is a huge, spectacle in the shape of an esports main stage where all the finals will be played and the Opening Ceremony and the World Famous Insomnia Pub Quiz will be held.
