The huge indie hit, Minecraft, has now been confirmed for release on the PlayStation 4. After sky rocketing to success on PC, Microsoft made it available on the Xbox Live Arcade. Within one week of being on the Xbox Live Arcade the number of copies sold was well over one million. Proving so popular Microsoft then released a retail copy which has had consistent chart placements ever since.

So it seems Sony are following suit with Minecraft being one of their launch titles. It will later be released on Playstation Vita and Playstation 3 which will be developed by 4J Studios after their work on the Xbox edition.
