ESL have announced that the former LGB squads slot in ESL One Cologne has been redistributed to one team in ESL India.
Ever since the unofficial disbandment of former LGB squad before DreamHack Summer, the slot they won after placing in the top8 at EMS One Katowice was up in the air.
Today ESL have released a statement explaining that a team from India will fill the void and get the chance to take part in the next CS:GO major, coming as a result of ESL’s recent expansion to India.
“We are happy to welcome India to the ESL One and to add an additional country to our participants list. The best Indian team will represent their country next month in Cologne amongst 15 other world class teams from around the world. We are looking forward to see them in action and compete at the next major CS:GO tournament with $250,000 on the line!
ESL India will hold a LAN qualifier where the best teams in India will be invited to fight it out amongst each other. The best team will receive travel and accommodation support while also having an extended bootcamp before the event.”
India’s representative will be found this coming weekend.
