The Russian sports society Spartak has announced it is looking to expand into esports with the new signing of a CSGO, DotA2 and LoL team.
A press conference to announce more details will be held on Wednesday at Otkrytiye Arena, the home of FC Spartak Moscow and multi-purpose stadium.
The sports society Spartak covers a range of different sports including boxing, chess and ice hockey, however, the society has no ties with FC Spartak Moscow.
“We are happy to announce that a new sport will be entering the Spartak family,” said Spartak president Anna Alyoshina.
“We are confident that cybersport men will adequately don the red and white colors of Spartak and honor its history and victorious traditions.”
