newzoo carried out a recent survey which asked questions such as: How do some of the biggest eSports franchises compare in terms of players and viewers? How big is the overlap between gamers and viewers? What is the overlap between franchises in terms of reach? to some of the largest viewership countries in esports.

The key takeaways from the survey was that LoL, CSGO and DotA 2 were the most watched games while 42% of esports viewers don’t play the game they watch, and 70% of viewers only watch one particular game.
