On the 27th and 28th of June Animate-Esports DC Universe Online team competed in an online qualifier round against some of the best teams in the EU. Out of the 9 teams that participated in the qualifier none could overcome the absolute carnage that Animate brought to the competition.

The win saw the team have their flights and accommodation paid for as well as $600 spending money, that isn’t supposed to be spent in the casinos but no promises have been made. Animate are off to Vegas!

As the team aren’t US Citizens they cannot compete for the six thousand dollar prize money, however, they will play an exhibition match against the winners of the competition. The 16 team $6000 tournament, held in Las Vegas is hosted by Sony Online Entertainment. Seeded 1st for the EU qualifier, the exhibition game between Animate and the winners of the US tournament is set to be a good one.

The team travel to the states on July 30th for a whole week of DC Universe Online madness, returning to the UK on the 4th August. As always, Animate will provide top notch coverage of their team on Facebook, Twitter and twitch.
