ESL Strengthens Role in Console Gaming Sector With Scuf Gaming as New Partner


ESL, the world’s largest esports company, partner with Scuf Gaming in order to provide the highest possible gaming gear for ESL’s console competition. The move underlines ESL’s continued commitment to the console esports market and marks a further step ESL has taken towards building up its esports offering in the sector.

“We’ve been busy with stadium esports events for our products such as ESL One, but we haven’t forgotten about the console market,” says Ralf Reichert, Managing Director at ESL. “The new year will see big things for ESL and console gaming and we’re all very excited to see where it takes us. Scuf Gaming is the perfect partner for us in this regard because they are as enthusiastic and dedicated about the scene as we are.”

Initially the partnership will cover sponsorships in Go4 tournament series for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and FIFA 15, with a Major League for Halo: Master Chief Collection. Online competition through the ESL One Xbox App (featuring over 80 cups) and ESL Gaming portal started February 1st and will extend well into September. Additionally, ESL has expressed it is dedicated towards hosting numerous offline console events throughout the year, which will feature custom Scuf Gaming gear at every stop.

In honour of the partnership, Scuf Gaming has produced a limited number of custom ESL gaming controllers. The patented gaming gear will be available for us at all offline ESL console competition as well as being available for purchase through the Scuf Gaming shop.
