Details for IEM Katowice 2017 have been released by ESL.The tournament will have a $250,000 prize pool

The tournament will have a $250,000 prize pool with twelve teams, eight invited teams, four qualified teams.

Featuring a best of one, round robin format, IEM Katowice 2017 will run from March 1st to March 5th. The two groups of six teams will start the group stage in the first two days of the tournament behind closed doors, with the Spodek Arena hosting the playoffs, March 3rd to March 5th.

Qualification will allow three European teams and one North American team join the eight invited teams. This process will have two open qualifiers for Europe and one open qualifier for North America. After the open qualifiers, there will be another closed qualifier which will include invited teams.
