Noah Whinston, the CEO of Immortals, conducted an AMA on the GlobalOffensive subreddit, here’s the best questions and answers from the post.

Question
Zews said in an interview that you guys have a nutritionist. Can you go into more detail as to what this is and what it does?

Answer
We have a staff member that we call a performance coach. They handle the following:

1) Physical Fitness 2) Nutrition 3) Sports Psychology

We view personal wellness as directly linked to competitive performance. Happy and healthy players are more likely to win and represent our organization well.

Question
What made you decide to go with the Brazilians over the Aussies (Renegades)?

Answer
I can’t go too much into specifics here honestly. I’ll just say that we looked heavily at several rosters before settling on the ex-TS guys. Some of those deals didn’t happen because of issues on the player side. Some didn’t happen because of issues on the org side.

Love the Aussies and really hope to see them succeed.

Question
Do you think that Immortals will be a top 5 team in the near future?

Answer
Very possible within the next 12-18 months.

Question
What are your expectations for Zews on the team, do you feel he is what it takes to bring this team over to that top 5 teams in the world?

Answer
Yes, I think Zews brings an element of leadership and tactics that will be incredibly useful for the team, which is why we made the move to pick him up. From a raw talent perspective, our roster is among the best in the world. Now, they just need to refine themselves.

Question
What advice would you give to small teams for acquiring an organization to back them?

Answer
I would remind them to prioritize reputation, reliability, and room for growth rather than just trying to get the highest possible salary.
