Virtus.pro have won the first best of five match of the CS:GO Legends Series against Ninjas in Pyjamas, 3-2.

The first map, de_nuke went in favour of Virtus.pro after a convincing 16-9, they then smashed NiP on de_mirage 16-1 but couldn’t carry their momentum in to the third map losing 11-16 on de_overpass. We then saw an incredible match of de_inferno against the top two teams in the world right now which went to overtime and NiP just taking it 16-19, finally the Virtus.pro team recovered from their last two map defeats to win on de_dust2, 16-13.

In what everyone thought would be a close game Virtus.pro started off incredibly well stomping through the Swedish resistance taking the first two maps with ease. Then, NiP fought back with victories on both de_overpass and de_inferno but they couldn’t stop Virtus.pro from taking the match which the Poles deserved from their previous convincing map wins showing why they’re the better team.

The CS:GO Legends Series format means that Virtus.pro will face off against a new opponent next week in another bo5 for another $1,000. After the first CLS, Virtus.pro are up $1,000 while NiP leave with nothing. Virtus.pros opponents for next weeks bo5 are yet to be revealed.
